Semarang Magic Community: The Sixth Gathering

Many great things happened August 2011 such as the Independence Day of The Republic of Indonesia on August 17 2011 and the Ramadan holly month. Semarang Magic Community contributed to the August excitement with The Sixth Semarang Magic Community Magic Gathering on the 20th of August 2011, Saturday, from 16:00 to late evening at Roti Bakar Mang Cheppy [Mr. Cheppy's Bread Toast] (Manggala Food Festival, Jl. Gajahmada, Semarang).

The committee members of the Sixth Magic Gathering had been busy for weeks and got more stressful as the hours got closer to the opening of this event. "I hope this event goes well. I slept at 5 am today after all night thinking of this event", explained Pratama Herry Herlambang (Tama). All was ready by 15:00. Chairs were in theatre arrangement. Sound system and stage were set. The guest star performers arrived early to prepare for action.

Two phenomenal MCs of Semarang Magic Community, Herry Deluzion and Bebbo Denoberto, launched this event. Fresh humors flowed continuously between shows.

The event started with a brief commemoration of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia by singing the national anthem, The Great Indonesia (Indonesia Raya). The event was also opened with a brief welcoming speech by the captain of Semarang Magic Community (Silvan Prayogo) and the Chief Counselor of Semarang Magic Community (Mr. Valentino).

A magic shows parade began without delay. These amazing magicians were from Semarang Magic Community such as Bebbo Denoberto, Indra Ferano, Kelvin Montague, Thom Daviano, Yerri Suryoadi, and Zue Nara. The event became more exciting when famous and professional guest star magicians from outside Semarang performed magic shows. Many of them have won in magic competitions. The guest magicians were Adi Botax Red, Rolly Malau, Maxi Deli (all three from Jakarta), Cazo Dejavu (from Malang), Ganz Pizzarelli dan Wind Acemonte (from Yogyakarta), Rafi Pesulap de Niro (a child magician from Pekalongan who appeared in THE MASTER TV show).

This gathering was for public so more people appreciate and enjoy magic. Furthermore, tonight Semarang Magic Community launched its website, www.semarangmagic.com. Dinner was an excellent moment to socialize between magicians and general public.

During magic shows audiences watched various spectacular effects such as a continuous mysterious umbrellas production, magical appearance of cane and cards , and many more. Also, mysterious and rapid object transformation such as cards turned to balls, a ball turned to flower, and then became a bow tie and so on. Some magic attractions were performed up close and personal (close up magic) such as the production and vanishing coins by Ganz Pizzarelli and Yerri Suryoadi. The gathering became merrier by rap music and hip hop dance. At the end of the Gathering, the guest star magicians sold their products (magic tricks and accessories).
